Getting ready for the first Tuesday of Foundations Circle
What to carry to Gamaksan-ro, how the first two hours are split, and why a funded wallet can stay at home.
The first Tuesday begins at 18:30. The door on Gamaksan-ro opens at 18:20. Readers leave shoes on the inner step, hang coats on the wall hooks, and take any chair. Eight seats are set. Tea is on the side table before the reading starts, and again at the break.
Bring a notebook and a pencil. The primer set is handed over that evening, so there is nothing to print at home. The welcome sheet, four pages, is the only pre-reading, and staff give it to you when the seat is confirmed. If a bus from Geumchon or a car from Ilsan is your route, allow time for the last turn onto the local road. We would rather start with a full table than hold the page for a late arrival past 18:40.
A wallet with funds is unnecessary. Week 1 is a paper diagram: a secret key, an address, and a balance recorded on the ledger. Phones stay in bags during the opening reading so the diagram has the table's attention. Anyone who wants to look at a public page does that in week 6, on the room's printed excerpt, not on a personal account.
Tell us in the inquiry if you will miss a later Tuesday. A missed week can be sat in a later circle when that week's seat is open, within three months, under the refund notice. If you need to cancel the whole circle, the timing rules are on the refund page.
