Terms of use

These terms cover the Cortex Compass website and bookings for study at the reading room. They took effect on 1 September 2026.

Acceptance

Using the website, sending an inquiry, or paying a fee after written confirmation means you accept these terms and the refund terms. If you book for a club, you confirm that you may commit that group to the quoted fee and headcount.

The study

Cortex Compass provides in-person study of Solana decentralized finance basics: the Foundations Circle, desk appointments, reading room passes, and club briefings. Materials explain published concepts, ratios, and documents. Personal financial decisions remain with each reader and any advisor that reader chooses. Staff do not hold keys, place trades, or prepare tax filings.

Intellectual property

Site text, primer wording, glossary sheets, and the arrangement of the reading room photographs are owned by Cortex Compass. You may keep the primer set you paid for and use your own notes. Copying the primer set for resale, or reproducing the shelf binders for another class, needs written permission. The name Solana and the names of individual programs remain with their holders. Mentioning them in a lesson describes the public material under study.

Bookings and payment

A seat, pass, desk, or briefing date is held when staff confirm it in writing and the stated amount arrives by bank transfer. Figures on the rates page are the amounts staff confirm. The website does not take card payments. Account details are sent only in the confirmation reply.

Conduct

Readers follow the house rules posted in the room: quiet voices, no photographs of other readers, and phones away during a circle’s opening reading. A person who disrupts a session may be asked to leave. The fee outcome in that case follows the refund terms for work already started.

Liability

Public program rules change. A primer can lag a document that was updated after the copy date written in the margin. Cortex Compass is responsible for running the booked hours with reasonable care and for correcting a margin note once staff know a cited page has changed. Liability for a claim connected to a booking is limited to the fee paid for that booking, except where the law of the Republic of Korea does not allow a limit. The room is not responsible for token price changes, failed transactions, or decisions a reader makes after a session.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.

Changes

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A booking already confirmed keeps the refund terms stated at the time of confirmation.
